Dependent Eligibility Audits

Identifying ineligible dependents can create immediate savings and help lower future claims costs while contributing to the integrity of the plan by controlling unnessary risk. Dependent eligibility verification studies have shown that between 5 and 20 percent of covered dependents are NOT eligible according to company plan eligibility criteria.  Categories of ineligibility can include a variety of circumstances:

  • Over-aged dependent
  • Financial responsiblity not validated for step-child
